#1.) vs Bobby Roode – Sacrifice 2012
It was a good thing that Roode and RVD had a ladder match, particularly because there was a belief that a non-stipulation match wouldn’t be very interesting. With a rather hot crowd, the two competitors went at it for the World Heavyweight title. Roode did all he can to make sure RVD didn’t walk out as a 2-time World Champion and ultimately, he was successful in his effort of retaining.
The finish of the match did have a slight botch but that didn’t take away from the fact that it was an action-packed thriller that absolutely delivered on all fronts. It also further cemented Roode’s legitimacy as World Champion in TNA.
