#2.) AJ Styles vs Roman Reigns – 2016
Roman Reigns had a really good but brief reign as WWE Champion in 2016. His first challenger was AJ Styles, who beat at Payback. In a rematch, the Extreme Rules stipulation was added and the two managed to add a whole new layer to their match. Wrestling a completely different match from the previous time, Styles managed to bring out a vicious side of himself that he hadn’t shown to the WWE Universe.
Though Reigns ultimately won the war, it certainly helped prove to backstage officials what a great worker Styles is. If this feud was his litmus test, then he passed with flying colors.
