It’s really a surprise that this match isn’t talked about more. The Miz defended his Intercontinental title against main contender Cesaro as well as Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, who was previously involved in their own rivalry. From the opening bell, the match took a life of its own, starting off with Sami Zayn hitting a helluva kick on KO within seconds.
The match erupted into chaos and it resulted in one of the best matches of 2016. The number of near falls and narrow wins made it among the most suspenseful matches to watch and The Miz put on an absolute masterclass as he ended up stealing the win, while Sami Zayn was clumsy by being too focused on Owens.
