Say what you will about WWE incessantly pushing Roman Reigns in 2016, but his short WWE title reign between April and June was actually one of the best things about the entire year. The first feud for Reigns as champion was none other than The Phenomenal AJ Styles, who was hardly a few months into his WWE run.
Either way, they proved to have great chemistry and had an incredible match at Payback, which Reigns won. This time around, it was an Extreme Rules match and fans couldn’t wait to see how the two would rip each other apart.
And that’s exactly what happened. They tore the house down all until Styles got caught with a spear mid-air. Seth Rollins would come in for the post-match attack, returning from a long layoff.
