#5.) Roddy Piper vs Bret Hart – WrestleMania

This is a criminally underrated WrestleMania match. The Intercontinental title bout saw Roddy Piper defend against the relatively younger Bret Hart. It was a good face vs face match and the psychology and storytelling were off the charts. Not only did Piper and Bret Hart have great chemistry, but they told an incredible story as well.

Since Piper was a face, he had moments where he wanted to revert to his dark side and cheat to win but didn’t do it because of his respect for Bret Hart. Although we do feel the blading spot was unnecessary, it seems as though Bret Hart thought otherwise. It did add to the match a bit but ultimately, it wasn’t needed.

Either way, Bret Hart won an intense and grueling contest, after which Roddy Piper personally endorsed him, placing the title on his shoulders. They embraced after the match and the crowd went wild.
