The story of Triple H vs Booker T remains one of the most bizarre ones till date. The storyline was a bit controversial in nature, with WWE even using racial undertones. But in a way, fans felt like it was all done so that it could set up the right payoff – with the babyface going over and becoming World Champion at WrestleMania.
Did that happen? Nope. Instead, Triple H crawled and pinned Booker T in a slow count, making him look even worse than he was supposed to. Many WWE fans harbored a lot of resentment to the company for their decision to have Triple H go over. Not only did it make no sense, but it ruined any momentum that Booker T had and made him look worse after all of it.
