Instead of the match that he wanted against Kurt Angle, The Undertaker instead found himself facing Mark Henry in a casket match. Bruce Prichard revealed on Something to Wrestle With that Vince McMahon wanted Mark Henry to be the one to end the streak. Prichard was reluctant about the idea because he felt Henry wasn’t ready and that it still wouldn’t do enough to take him to the next level.
The Undertaker himself was reluctant but willing to do what McMahon wanted. Ultimately, McMahon himself changed his mind about it and decided to rightfully have The Undertaker go over.
