The New Hart Foundation were hated heels in the United States, but outside and particularly in their home nation of Canada, they were heroes. Canadian Stampede took place at Calgary, which is also Bret Hart’s home town. Naturally, the New Hart Foundation were treated as heroes, while Team USA, comprising of the likes of Steve Austin, Goldust, Ken Shamrock and the Legion of Doom.
While it was quite a star-studded team in itself, it was the hometown team who secured an epic victory. It genuinely felt like an emotional moment as the Hart Foundation celebrated in front of their home crowd and their family in the ring.
