#4.) Madusa makes a “trashy” statement
The former Alundra Blayze re-signed with WCW after two years away. She was the reigning WWF Women’s Champion at the time when she signed with WCW. In a shocking move, she appeared on Nitro with Eric Bischoff right in front of her on commentary. Making a big statement, she took out a trash can and dumped the WWF Women’s title right into it.
This was considered a big controversy at the time and it was what ultimately led to the Montreal Screwjob taking place. Though the Women’s divisions weren’t strong in either promotion, this was a big shot by WCW and Madusa.
