#2.) John Cena vs CM Punk – RAW
John Cena and CM Punk had one of the defining rivalries of the PG Era, with the general consensus that their MITB 2011 match was the best of the era. While their match on RAW wasn’t on that level, it certainly was the closest they came to matching that effort. Punk and Cena went to war in the main event of RAW, with the winner going on to face The Rock at WrestleMania 29.
Some have even argued that this match is better from a storytelling point of view and it’s a fair argument to make. They had one of the best matches of the year and Cena finally triumphed over Punk, who had his number for a long time.
