#1.) Triple H vs The Undertaker – WrestleMania 28
If their WrestleMania 27 encounter was a classic, then the third WrestleMania encounter between Triple H and The Undertaker was an epic of all sorts. The Undertaker was keen on revenge on Triple H, who attacked him post-match the prior year. The story was simple. The Phenom wanted revenge and goaded Triple H into giving him a match by comparing him to Shawn Michaels.
The subtleties of the story was fantastic. Two of the last of their generation with clashing egos simply wanting to prove who was better. It was a Hell in a Cell match and Shawn Michaels’ presence as special guest referee only added to it.
Of course, it ended up stealing the show at WrestleMania. It was a war of all sorts, with The Undertaker literally being microseconds away from losing his streak. The moments of the match had the crowd involved all the way through and the finish was nothing short of magical, with The Undertaker finishing Triple H for good.
The trio of The Undertaker, Triple H and Shawn Micheals walked out, looking to the crowd knowing that their era was behind them.
