#3.) Randy Orton vs Cactus Jack – Backlash

Earlier on the same night, Randy Orton was able to further establish his incredible run as the Legend Killer. The young upstart Orton was challenged by Cactus Jack to a Hardcore match for the Intercontinental Championship, one that Orton was more than willing to accept. A month prior, Orton, along with Ric Flair & Batista defeated Mick Foley and The Rock in a handicap match at WrestleMania.

Revenge on his mind, Cactus Jack took it to Orton unlike anyone ever had. It was clear that this was Orton’s toughest test and he stepped up to the plate in a big way. Foley did a great job in putting Orton over and the win shot him up to the stratosphere. It would only be a few more months before Orton became the youngest World Champion in WWE history.
