#3.) Shawn Michaels vs Triple H – SummerSlam

The story of SummerSlam 2002 (which in itself is one of the all-time great PPVs) was that of Shawn Michaels’ comeback. After four years in the shelf due to retirement, Michaels was able to make a massive return. He initially reformed DX with Triple H, but their alliance was short-lived as The Game turned on his former best friend.

He even blindsided Michaels in a parking lot and their feud turned into a bitter grudge rivalry. The date was set for SummerSlam 2002, where the two rivals would face each other in an Unsanctioned Street Fight. The big question heading into the match was whether Michaels still had “it”. The answer, of course, was a resounding “Yes”!

Michaels proved that he didn’t miss a beat and had an instant classic with The Game. It was a grueling and brutal affair, hard to watch at times, but Michaels would end up triumphing in the best way possible. They would feud for the world title later that year.
