When talking about how the brand split benefitted superstars, one can’t really look further than Edge, who was getting a major singles push at the time. He was feuding with Kurt Angle, who was hot at the time himself. Their rivalry in itself was comedy gold and it resulted in a hair vs hair match.
It was a match of wits and trickery, where the two desperately tried to outdo the other to keep their hair intact. Thanks to a well-timed small package, Edge won the match, earning the right to shave Kurt Angle’s head. The Olympic Gold Medalist never grew it back after that.
