#3.) Chris Benoit vs Chris Jericho – Royal Rumble 2001

This was an early example of the in-ring masterclass of the two Canadain performers. Battling it out for the Intercontinental title in a ladder match, Benoit and Jericho hated each other so much that they couldn’t even stand the sight of one another. The animosity made for a great feud, but it was their technical prowess and familiarity with each other’s arsenal that made it an all-time classic.

The two went through hell and back, with Benoit even hitting a diving headbutt from the top of the ladder. In hindsight, watching it can be a bit brutal knowing that it was moves like these that contributed to the damage of Benoit’s brain. Either way, the match was one to remember, with Jericho overcoming his rival.
