#1.) Lex Luger

Lex Luger may not have been the most successful world champion, but one title he did better at than anyone in the world was the United States Championship. With 5 reigns and a combined tenure of 948 days, nobody held the title longer than Luger did. His third reign lasted for 523 days or 17 months – a record that’s yet to be broken.

He truly carried himself as a champion and it became odd to see him without the title. He was undoubtedly the greatest superstar to ever hold it.
