If there’s any dream match that WWE fans will always be sad about not seeing – it’s The Undertaker vs Sting. They had the opportunity to run it at WrestleMania 27 and it was even teased by WWE. In an interview with Daily Star, Sting revealed that he rejected the offer to work with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 27
There are so many variables. Let’s just say that I turned it down for the same reasons I always have. Something in me never trusted what would happen up there, based entirely on the track record with other WCW guys and everything that went on after Vince bought WCW.
They had another chance to run the match at WrestleMania 31 but instead chose to go with Sting vs Triple H, a match that seemingly benefitted nobody.
