#2.) ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin vs Hulk Hogan
Now this would have been something, wouldn’t it? When Hulk Hogan returned to WWE in 2002, Steve Austin was penciled in to work with the icon, who had returned for the first time in almost 9 years. It would have been an icon vs icon match, but Steve Austin denied the opportunity to work with Hogan, stating on multiple occasions that it wasn’t a match that interested him.
Perhaps he didn’t want to put over Hogan and that was the demand, but we’ll never know. It worked out fine either way, because Hogan had an all-time classic WrestleMania match against The Rock, after which he turned babyface and briefly even became WWE Champion again.
