Flair vs Hogan would have been the biggest money match in WrestleMania history had it happened in 1992. They even tried it out on house shows and it’s believed that it didn’t draw as well as hoped. Another major factor that played in was that Sid Justice was reportedly promised the main event of WrestleMania VIII when he negotiated his contract in 1991.
Ultimately, the plan got scrapped and fans got a classic between Ric Flair and Randy Savage, while Hulk Hogan faced Sid Justice in an underwhelming main event.
