#2.) Money in the Bank 2016
Dean Ambrose wasn’t particularly having a bad year on paper in 2016, but two back-to-back defeats on PPV at Fastlane and WrestleMania 32 saw his momentum get hampered big time – especially given that the year started with him being the hottest superstar on the roster. Despite this, he was well protected and won a feud against Chris Jericho post-WrestleMania.
He would qualify for Money in the Bank, in what is arguably the best line-up in MITB history. It was filled with young stars except for Chris Jericho and Alberto Del Rio, but even so the match had a lot of promise. That promise was delivered and more, as all superstars gave everything they had in an intense and physical match-up.
Dean Ambrose just about managed to edge out all his opposition to become Mr Money in the Bank. Right then and there, his momentum was back. He didn’t toil around or wait to cash in, however. Just an hour later, Seth Rollins had beaten Roman Reigns to become a 2-time WWE Champion.
Ambrose would get vengeance in a big way as he cashed in his briefcase to become WWE Champion. It was a great moment for him and great redemption.
