The NXT Women’s championship was introduced on June 2013, with a tournament that would crown the best woman in NXT. The finals saw the two best women on the developmental brand go at it, with Paige emerging victorious, getting the honor and distinction of being the first-ever NXT Women’s Championship.

It would kickstart an incredible career for her and an incredible lineage, with one point seeing fans consider the NXT Women’s title as the most prestigious in all of WWE. And prestigious is exactly what it is, because the title doesn’t change hands as frequently as the other championships.
