The “Countdown to the Millenium” clock was one of the most thrilling things about the Attitude Era. There are not many who can say they had a greater impact than Chris Jericho, but the way he presented himself on his debut was absolutely unforgettable. Even though The Rock would end up getting better of the exchange, the fact that he debuted and went right after the company’s top star instantly elevated his status.
The two would cross paths on more than one occasion in the future. It was a massive debut and an unforgettable one.
