#3.) Canadian Stampede 1997
At Canadian Stampede 1997 in Calgary, it was a hometown hero welcoming for The Hart Foundation, who defended the honor of their country against five of the “very best” stars from the United States – ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Goldust, Ken Shamrock and Legion of Doom.
While that isn’t exactly what you call a dream team, it was incredible to see just how hated the actual babyfaces were. Austin couldn’t even breathe without being booed, which made it all the more special when Owen Hart pinned Austin to pick up the victory for the team. After the match, the entire Hart Family came out to celebrate. It almost seemed like a national victory of sorts.
