#2.) NXT Takeover: Brooklyn I
If there’s one word to describe the first Takeover in Brooklyn, it’s magical. It truly felt like magic was in the air throughout the night, as it was NXT Takeover’s first excursion from Full Sail University. They sold out Barclays Arena in no time, and the card would see every single match deliver in a big way.
From The Vaudevillains winning the NXT Tag titles, to Apollo Crews debuting, to Finn Balor retaining the NXT title in an epic ladder match main event. However, the event is most notable for the Women’s Championship match, where Bayley dethroned Sasha Banks to become the new NXT Women’s Champion. That match wasn’t just special, it was one of, if not the greatest women’s match in WWE history, and the two stole the show in the best way possible. The story told and Bayley’s emotional win made it all too perfect.
Though this Takeover may not be the best from a match-quality standpoint, it was something that was unique for its time.
