#5.) Shawn Michaels – WrestleMania 12

Shawn Michaels wasn’t known to be the most popular figure backstage during his peak with WWE in the 90s, but what was undeniable was the fact that night in and night out, he was the best performer in the show. He made a believer out of Vince McMahon, the one man in the company who every superstar needs to convince and win over.

Michaels took on Bret Hart in what was a battle between the two faces of the New Generation Era. Michaels won his second Royal Rumble match in a row and would take on a babyface Bret Hart for the WWF Championship in a 60-minute Iron Man Match. It went to a draw, only for Michaels to finish him a few minutes after overtime. The iconic line “The boyhood dream has come true” was uttered as Michaels won his first-ever World Championship.
