The Undertaker won the 2007 Royal Rumble and challenged Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship. It was a simple, straightforward face vs face feud, and it’s believed that both competitors were quite angry about the fact that they didn’t main event the show. Regardless, they would have an incredible match, in what’s undoubtedly one of the most underrated world title matches in WrestleMania history.
Shawn Michaels vs John Cena main evented and stole the show in their own right, so they could make the case for main eventing as well. But that year, it certainly felt like Batista and The Undertaker deserved that spot.
