#4.) vs. Rated-RKO – New Year’s Revolution 2007

It was early 2007 and DX were running strong in a feud against the dream-team of Edge and Randy Orton, who called themselves Rated-RKO. They were the tag team champions and took on DX in the very first PPV of 2007. It turned out to be an instant classic as you would expect, as the four elite superstars put it all on the line for the tag team titles.

The match is most notable for the fact that Triple H re-tore his quad that he had injured nearly six years prior at that point. The match ended in a DQ finish with DX beating down the champions, and Triple H managed to once again see it through to the very end. Unfortunately for him, it meant that he would miss WrestleMania for the first time in his career (the only time he’s ever done so) and was out for over seven months.

Michaels, meanwhile, was the runner-up at the Royal Rumble match and ended up main eventing WrestleMania 23 anyway.
