Pedro Morales in the 1980s wasn’t exactly a main eventer, though he had a couple of solid runs with the Intercontinental title. What many don’t know is that prior to his retirement in 1987, he was basically a midcarder. His run as World Champion hadn’t kept him aloof on top of the card, and he put over a lot of other talent at the end. It’s not a bad way to go out by today’s standards, but it’s a fact that not many people really know of.
