It’s incredible to think that one of the biggest icons of the Golden Era never held the championship gold, whether it was midcard level or not. Roberts himself has admitted in interviews over the last few years that it didn’t matter too much to him because he felt that the title was merely a prop.
His run with WCW was very brief as well, and had no championships. Either way, it isn’t necessarily a bad thing, because Jake Roberts, similar to The Undertaker, never needed a championship to feel special. And that alone speaks volumes of him.
