#3.) vs Chris Benoit – WCW Nitro – October 1997
This is a rare gem that will sadly never see the light of day. Hennig was just a few months in from a long layoff, competing for WCW and trying to prove that he could still hang with the best. He faced some success in WCW, but the biggest issue was the fact that his body had worn out and it wasn’t the same Mr. Perfect who WWE fans grew to love in the early 90s.
One of the must-see matches happens to be against a young Chris Benoit. It was only five minutes long, but it probably ranks as the best five-minute match that you’ll ever see. It was among the few notable matches in his WCW run. Benoit was one of his first major tests and he passed it with flying colors.
