Try finding a better WrestleMania opening match. Spoiler – you won’t. The rivalry between the two Hart brothers began at the Royal Rumble in 1994 when Hart suffered a kayfabe injury, costing them a tag title match. Owen Hart attacked his brother after the match, beginning an intense rivalry between the two. Interestingly, Hart would also win the Rumble along with Lex Luger that same night.
Their rivalry culminated at WrestleMania X, where they would have one of the most outstanding bouts in the history of the PPV. Owen Hart would win on the night, but Bret Hart would still defeat Yokozuna in the main event to become WWF Champion. Talk about double duty!
