5 Reasons Why Bret Hart Was The Greatest Wrestler Of His Generation

#5.) He was far ahead of his time

Wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior,etc. were all suitable for their time because they represented these cartoony, yet larger-than-life characters. They weren’t great in the ring by today’s standards, but that didn’t matter at all then because the audience was more invested in their characters than their style of wrestling.

While that still holds true today, it’s not to the same extent. Bret Hart too wrestled in that era, but he was much younger then and was making his name as a tag team specialist alongside the late, great Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart. Even when he won his first WWE title against Ric Flair, Hart was far ahead of his time as a wrestler and had an ability to him that no other performer in the world possessed.
