Kenny Omega was the man who knocked Naito out of the previous year’s G1 Climax. Naito had his chance at redemption and would go on to have an instant classic with Omega. Both men would dig deep and put everything on the line, sending the crowd into a frenzy. It was one of the best nights of both men and it ultimately boiled down to who wanted it more.
With Naito falling short on previous occasions, he knew he couldn’t lose, and would overcome the storm of Omega to win his second G1 Climax. Unlike his first G1 Climax win in 2013, this time, the crowd gave him their roar of approval.
