#3.) Winning the G1 Climax 2017
Naito already had one G1 Climax win under his belt, but he wouldn’t even main event the Tokyo Dome, and when he won it, it was met with a rather mild reception, to say the least. 2017 was a different ballgame altogether. 4 years after his first G1 Climax, Naito would earn his way to the finals of the tournament, facing Kenny Omega, the man who won it the previous year.
The two would put on an absolute classic, and Naito would finally get his well-deserved win. This time, the crowd reacted and were in full approval of Naito’s push.
