These four superstars have a history that outdates their time in WWE. Roderick Strong and PAC were supposed to defend the PWG World Tag Team titles against The Briscoes, but for some reason, they hadn’t shown up. Generico, the PWG World Champion at the time, teamed with Kevin Steen in the co-main event that night.
The match was outstanding as you could possibly expect from these four. Agility? Check. Brutality? Check. Hard-hitting? Check. It basically ticked all the boxes that would make for a great match, and this was PWG at its very best. Steen and Generico would finally end up pinning PAC to win the titles, but Bryan Danielson confronted Generico for a world title match immediately after.
They would face each other in the very next match.
