#1.) vs Shinsuke Nakamura – NXT Takeover: Dallas
NXT Takeover: Dallas was set to be the debut of Shinsuke Nakamura. It was also set to be the farewell of Sami Zayn. With these two paths crossing, it made sense for them to face each other at WrestleMania weekend in what was arguably the most anticipated debut in WWE history.
From the moment Nakamura’s music was about to hit, the crowd went absolutely wild. They couldn’t handle their excitement of the Japanese sensation making a splash, and his debut match delivered in a big way. The crowd was torn in half but they were clearly more excited about Shinsuke Nakamura. Zayn and Nakamura proved to have incredible chemistry and stole the show (and entire weekend) with an instant classic.
Naturally, Nakamura won, and Zayn said his farewell, with the NXT Universe showing respect to him. Everyone knew that it was time for him to move on to bigger things, starting with a title match at WrestleMania two nights later.
