#4.) vs The Miz, Cesaro & Kevin Owens – Extreme Rules 2016
The Miz had retained his Intercontinental title at Payback 2016 thanks to his usual nefarious tactics (and the unintentional involvement of Kevin Owens, who had beaten Sami Zayn the match prior). All the chaos led to Zayn being involved in the picture as well, and it was clear that the direction headed was a Fatal-4-way one.
It’s important to note that post-WrestleMania 32 was one of the most exciting periods in WWE for a very long time. Things were new and everything felt refreshing. This match-up was much anticipated and exceeded all possible expectations. From the very first moment that saw Sami Zayn hit the Helluva Kick on Kevin Owens to the exciting, action-packed and fast-paced match, this match had it all!
Sami Zayn’s obsession with Kevin Owens had cost him here too, as he basically allowed The Miz to get a victory.
