#2.) They weren’t signed together
Believe it or not, Jimmy and Jey Uso were not signed together. Jimmy Uso was signed to WWE alone because Jey had nagging knee issues that required surgery. Since the injury happened outside of WWE, he needed to work outside and get the money to pay for it. While Jimmy began his FCW career, Jey spent a lot of time with his cousin Joe, who we know well as Roman Reigns. Joe decided to follow in their footsteps and tried out for WWE himself, successfully getting in.
Jey got his surgery done and gave the company a call, stating that he was ready to join his brother.
