If you want to see the example of a masterclass heel promo, look no further than Shawn Michaels‘ Montreal promo in 2005. He was in the midst of his feud with Hulk Hogan and got an incredible level of heat. He had the crowd in the palm of his hands. He mocked the Canadian national anthem and even fooled the crowd by making them think that Bret Hart returned.
He was showered with boos and insults which we’d rather not mention. But he destroyed the crowd and they hated him for every second of it.
