#3.) Tommaso Ciampa vs Johnny Gargano – NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV
It was originally supposed to be Ciampa vs Gargano vs Aleister Black for the NXT Championship. However, an injury saw him written out of the equation. Just for a little backstory, Ciampa and Gargano were 1-1 against each other, and Ciampa shifted his focus to NXT Champion Aleister Black.
On an episode of NXT, Ciampa, thanks to an unintentional assist from Gargano, beat Black to win the NXT Championship (and handing him his first singles loss in the process). This led to Gargano vs Ciampa III at the grandest stage of Takeovers. It was a Last Man Standing match and they did justice to their feud with some of the most incredible storytelling ever.
It was a war like their other two matches and Gargano was on the verge of victory, but he let his hatred and obsession with Ciampa get to his head and made one grave mistake, allowing Ciampa to make the ten count by sheer luck. It was one of the most creative and shocking finishes ever. Ciampa had won the war.
