Tetsuya Naito had defeated Kazuchika Okada to become the IWGP Heavyweight Champion. His reign, however, didn’t last very long. Just two months later, he faced Okada, who ended up having an incredible match with him. Okada overcame the odds to defeat Naito and become a 4-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion.
Little did anyone know that this was only the beginning of a two-year title reign.
