#2.) Almost joined TNA
In 2009, Paul Heyman was in serious talks of joining TNA. It wasn’t in the stable state that it was today, but huge changes were being made and Heyman stated that he was very close to joining the company. However, the deal fell through because the two parties simply couldn’t come to agree on the terms and conditions.
Heyman wanted a stake in the company along with full control, similar to what he had in ECW. However, they weren’t willing to grant it to him and negotiations with Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff around the same time put to halt any potential deals. It turned out to be a huge missed opportunity for TNA and the biggest “what if” question for them.
