After ECW was brought out, Heyman came into WWE and through his time there, had various roles. Apart from just being a commentator and on-screen general manager, Paul Heyman was the creative force behind SmackDown during its early glory days.
Apart from this, he also became the head booker for Ohio Valley Wrestling, during which he met and developed a friendship with CM Punk. He then later had a bit of control over WWE’s version of ECW, but that didn’t end particularly well for him (we’ll revisit this).
