In an interview with Sean Waltman, Aldis revealed that his biggest supporter in TNA was none other than The Icon Sting. He was so invested in Magnus that he would personally ask creative about what they had planned for Aldis, even pitching to them for him to join the Main Event Mafia.
Sting truly believed in Magnus and Aldis went on to reveal that despite original plans for Sting to win, The Vigilante refused to win so he could put Aldis over. It culminated in a Title vs Career No DQ match, where Aldis beat Sting to send him packing from TNA.
