#5.) Team Austin vs Team Bischoff – Survivor Series 2003
After ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin retired from in-ring competition in 2003, he was named as co-General Manager of RAW and called himself the “Sheriff” of the brand. Naturally, he and Eric Bischoff didn’t get along and things came to a head when Austin’s career as co-General Manager was put on the line.
It proved to be the swan song of Steve Austin in WWE as his team, despite their valiant efforts, simply wasn’t enough. It was a tight match from start to finish and Shawn Michaels, as he always does, stole the show. But it wasn’t Michaels’ time, it was Randy Orton‘s. Orton was only beginning to prove how great a Survivor Series performer he was as he was the sole survivor for team Bischoff. Although it wasn’t a clean victory by any means, it certainly proved enough for Orton to get a major boost and Austin to lose his job!
