#5.) Cashing in the MITB on Edge
It was 2008 and then-World Heavyweight Champion Edge was gloating on RAW about a victory over Batista. The Animal was never one to sit back and take it so he decided to take matters into his own hands and unleashed a brutal post-match assault on The Rated-R Superstar. He walked away, still upset but with some measure of revenge. As soon as he was about to exit, CM Punk’s music hit and Batista watched on as The Straight Edge Superstar ran to the ring with his Money In The Bank briefcase.
Punk would cash in his briefcase and win his first World Heavyweight Championship. While he was ECW Champion before, this felt like his true World title win in WWE. He would go on to defend the title through the months until the reign abruptly ended.
