#2.) vs Brock Lesnar – SummerSlam 2013
The Best vs The Beast. One of the marquee SummerSlam matches saw a dream bout between Punk and Lesnar. And it wasn’t suplex city Lesnar, either. The feud was heated and personal, with Heyman having turned on Punk. Punk did everything in his power in the build to try to get into The Beast Incarnate‘s head and it lead to a collision course at the biggest party of the summer.
The match did not disappoint and although Punk wasn’t victorious, the story they told was nothing short of phenomenal. Punk had come extremely close to beating Lesnar like few had before but it just wasn’t enough. Punk was given an ovation after the match but was visibly dejected.
