#5.) vs Daniel Bryan – Over The Limit 2012
In the middle of CM Punk’s historic 434-day WWE title reign, he found himself in a feud with a dream opponent in Daniel Bryan. The rivalry was a treat for hardcore fans as it was between two of their favorite wrestlers in WWE at the time. It was the first time in 8 years that they had a match together and their series in 2012 was quite a good one, displaying some of the best wrestling of that year.
The Over The Limit match, however, was a technical masterclass as it was simply about two elite-level competitors fighting for the biggest prize in the industry. It was everything you would have expected and more, from mat wrestling to incredible striking and agility. The finish, unfortunately, was not a clean one as it was a roll-up pin and submission simultaneously. Either way, don’t let that take anything away from how incredible the match was.
