#2.) Intercontinental Championship
It was 2011 and Morrison and Rey Mysterio went head-on in a match for Mysterio’s Intercontinental Championship. It was a “friendly competition” title match which saw both competitors shake hands prior to the bell. Once it started, however, it was all business as Morrison had to find a way to get around Mysterio’s high-flying and agility.
It says a lot about Mysterio, given that Morrison himself is well known for being explosive, quick and being a high-flyer himself! Morrison used a clever strategy of trying to ground Mysterio and systematically tear him down. He was successful in doing so as he caught him in a mid-air dropkick before finishing him with the starship pain and securing another Intercontinental Championship for himself.
