Morrison went under the moniker The Friday Night Delight at the time. he faced Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship in a much-anticipated match-up. Though they started off the match with a show of respect, it was all business fairly early on. Morrison may have been a high-flyer, but he was not near the level of Mysterio and he knew this, which is why he made sure to constantly ground the legendary Luchador.
The match was fast paced and action-packed, with the finish seeing Morrison catch Mysterio with a brutal mid-air dropkick before landing the starship pain and successfully winning the Intercontinental Championship
